1st World Women's Chess Solving Championship

Tula, 3 October – 7 October 2024

 

REGULATIONS

 

Invitation

The International Women's Federation of Chess Composition and the Tula Regional Chess Federation have the honor to invite all women chess players to attend the 1st World Women's Chess Composition Championship.

The championship will be held from Thursday, October 3 (arrival day) to Monday, October 7 (departure) at the Tula City Chess Club: Russia, Tula, Veresaeva Street, building 24. 

 

Accommodation

Accommodation in the hotels “Armenia”**** (https://armenia-hotel.ru/) and “Moscow”*** (https://moskvatula.ru/).

The cost of accommodation per person/per day in a single room:

24€ (“Moscow”), 56€ (“Armenia”);

The cost of accommodation per person/per day in a double room:

16€ (“Moscow”), 37€ (“Armenia”).

The price includes buffet breakfast and free Wi-Fi.

The Payment is made upon check-in at the hotel.

 

The Competition program:

October 3: arrival of participants, registration in the lobby of the Moscow Hotel.

October 4

15-30 – opening of the competition

16-00 – World Championship 1st day (1 and 2 competition round)

October 5

10-00 – World Championship 2nd day (3 and 4 competition round)

15-00 – Closing of the competition, summing up and awarding the winners.

October 6

10-30 – excursion to the museum – the estate of the writer Leo Tolstoy.

16-00 – Open Solving Tourney, exhibition of a collection of stamps, banknotes, badges and other materials on a chess theme (Tula, Veresaeva Street, building 24)

October 7 – departure of participants.

Round duration is 90 minutes, break between rounds is 20 minutes.

Round 1: 3 twomovers, 1 threemovers, 2 endgames.

Round 2: 3 twomovers, 2 threemovers, 1 endgame.

Round 3: 2 twomovers, 1 threemover, 2 fourmovers, 1 endgame.

Round 4: 2 twomovers (#2), 1 fourmover (#4), 1 endgame, 1 helpmate (h#2) , 1 selfmate (s#2).

The organizers provide transportation of participants from hotels to the competition venue and back.

 

Registration and payment

Registration must be completed no later than September 1, 2024.

Participants must notify the organizers about their departure in a timely manner details (date, time and flight number of arrival and departure).

The cost of participation is 120 euro and includes registration, participation in tournaments by decision, excursion, Tula souvenirs.

The organizers provide full reception of one participant from each country participating in the championship (travel to Moscow and back, transfer from the airport to the Armenia Hotel, accommodation and meals). Invited participants are exempt from the tournament fee 120 euro.

 

Visa to Russia:

Residents of most countries in the world do not need a visa to enter Russia. The organizers ask participants who need a visa to contact them before September 1, 2024 and contact the relevant Russian embassy in time. The organizing committee will provide an invitation and the necessary information about hotel reservations.
